Map, Compass & GPS Basics

Come learn basic navigation skills using a map and compass to find your way. Discover essential information on the use of GPS. Recommendations for compasses are given in the first week of class but feel free to bring your own compass or GPS.

Microsoft Office Basics

An introduction to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Become familiar with Word to write and edit documents, create a spreadsheet in Excel and personalize a presentation with PowerPoint.  A great class for those just learning.  Enhance your employment skills!

MSAD 52 Substitute Training

Calendar at 4 pm

Learn about MSAD 52 school expectations, teacher’s lesson plans and assertive discipline.  This course is one step in the substitute teacher application process for the District.  A high school diploma is required, college degree preferred.  REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Anyone who works for a school district that is over 18 years of age must be fingerprinted.  If you have not had your fingerprinting done yet, please start that process here:  Maine DOE Fingerprinting

Strudel, Spaetzle & Schnitzel

Does your mouth water when hearing the words schnitzel, spaetzle, and strudel? Prepare various schnitzels with side dishes, make a quick version of apfelstrudel and of course, practice making plain and cheese spaetzle. All recipes will be provided and generous samples will be shared by all. $9 material fee will be paid to instructor at class.

Traditional Skills for Living with the Earth (Individual Classes)

Join your instructors, Colin Richardson and Ryan Busby and awaken your connection to nature and realize the abundance that our landscapes provide.
