Boat Safety

Learn how to properly operate and maintain a boat. You will learn proper operation and safety, laws, how to handle emergencies and cold water survival, self help first aid and about the environment and ethics.

Note: Persons 16 years of age and under 18 years of age MAY NOT operate a personal watercraft unless they possess on their person, identification showing proof of age and proof of successful completion of a NASBLA approved boating safety course unless they are accompanied by a person 18 years of age or older who physically occupies the personal watercraft.

Canning Basics - A Hands-on Food Preservation Workshop

Ever wonder how to preserve all those great garden vegetables? This hands-on food preservation workshop will teach you the basic steps for canning and freezing. Participants will receive a "Preserving the Harvest" food preservation packet, and will learn recommended methods for preserving foods, the latest and safest recipes, about equipment to insure safety and how to check for properly sealed jars. Participants may bring their own pressure canner dial gauge to class for a free accuracy test! Please bring a potholder with you to the workshop.

Material fee:  $20 paid to instructor at workshop.

Challenger Sports experienced International staff study the game at all levels and will help players improve their core techniques and become more confident on the ball.

With programs for each age, the curriculums includes a variety of foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, freestyle soccer, small-sided games and coached scrimmages.

World Cup style games are held each day where campers compete for their adopted country and are encouraged to learn about different customs and cultures, and our core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership.

Campers receive a free soccer ball, T-shirt, Poster and Certificate.

3 levels of sessions offered:

Mini-Soccer - 3-5 yrs - 8-9am - $68

Half-Day - 6-14 yrs - 9am-12pm - $142

Full-Day - 7-14 yrs - 9am-3pm - $202



Children's Theatre Camp

Elementary aged students (Grades 1 - 6) are invited to explore the world of theatre through games, skits and lessons.  A performance will be presented on Thursday evening as a showcase of talent.

Students should wear comfy clothes and closed toe shoes (no flip flops, please) and bring a bag lunch and water bottles.

Emphasis is placed on the passage of the Accuplacer exam.  Assistance in math, reading and writing will be provided to achieve this goal.  Learn the fundamentals of good study habits, college life and understand the college writing process.
