If you are a hunter, ATV or snowmobile enthusiast, enjoy fishing, hiking, or bird watching, Recreational First Aid will help ground you in the basics beyond what you learn in a Maine Safety course. Taught by an Outdoor Education Instructor, this new program from Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is a single workshop and designed to teach basic first aid information and skills for the woodland environment.

Chalk Couture Cutting Board OCT

Behavioral Health Professional Training & Certificate Program (BHP) OCT 19, 21 & 26th

Children’s Behavioral Health Services are vital to Maine’s children with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health Disorders and their families. 

As an integral part of the child’s treatment team, a Certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) has the opportunity to make an immediate impact while helping a child grow and develop to their full potential.

The BHP Blended Course consists of 12 on-demand online modules that need to be completed BEFORE the virtual live session with a certified BHP instructor. After registration and intake process is completed, you will receive your link for the online modules.

Thanks to funding being provided by Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services, the course fees ($200) are waived at this time! Students must have a high school diploma to participate. ONLY $25 administrative fee!

Per Program Policy: This class can not be refunded, however you can be moved into another BHP session if a conflict occurs. 

Please READ: Additional requirements to earn your BHP Certificate:

Ethics & Boundaries class (offered virtually, 2.5 hours) Please hold a date in your calendar as these are additional requirements for your certification.

Completion of an OSHA compliant Blood-borne pathogens (BBP) training (online course assigned to you in BHP Relias Learning Management System, .5 hours)

Child & Adult First Aid & CPR w/AED Certification (available through Woodfords Training & Resource Center - more information will be provided upon enrollment, 2.75 hours)

Estate Planning

The Preparing Your Estate Plan presentation is designed to help people better understand the basics of estate planning so they can consider the options that make the most sense for their specific situations. Participants will learn what to consider when creating a will, the benefits of trusts in estate planning, how to help reduce taxes on estates and how insurance can help protect your family.

Please bring a pen and paper with you to class for note taking.

 

 

Chair Yoga
