7 Step Traditional Chair Caning

Come learn the lost art of 7-Step Traditional chair caning and finish the course with your own restored masterpiece that you will enjoy for years to come! You bring the chair and materials will be provided by instructor. A $30 material fee is paid directly to Instructor at first class.

Abstract Alcohol Ink on Yupo Paper!

Join Portland Jetport’s featured artist and online instructor Kellie Chasse, as she shows you how to paint with colorful alcohol inks. Create a unique, bold, abstract flowing art piece on Yupo paper. No experience is needed! All supplies will be provided, including an 11x14  acid free mat, foam core backing and plastic sleeve.

Adorable Hand Felted Animals

We’ve all seen them – adorable hand-felted animals you wish you knew how to make. Now you can! Make a cozy small animal or bird out of wool roving, using the needle felting method to create the features and details. It is so much fun! Class size is limited and no experience is required! If you wear reading glasses please bring them with you! The material fee covers all beads, wool and wire necessary to create two unique needle felted animals!  Material Fee of $10 paid to instructor at class.

Create quality photographs by removing lens distortion, cropping, correcting perspective and making color corrections. Bring your laptop with your Lightroom program, a few raw digital files and your creative eye!

Resin is an amazing art medium that is so much fun to play with! Learn how to correctly mix and tint your resin and create beautiful wearable art pieces. Use a number of options to tint including Acrylic paints, Ink, and powdered pigments. Create one stunning pendant or earring set for someone extra special. $5 for each additional pendant or earring set.

Making Goat Milk Soap

Turn everyday kitchen ingredients into beautiful hand-crafted soap.  Night one we will discuss the science of soap making, safety tips, tools and ingredients. Using a basic recipe we will combine vegetable oils and goat milk into a luxurious soap the likes of which you will not find on the grocery store shelf. Night two, we will expand our repertoire by adding color, scent and exfoliant. Each participant will go home with several bars of soap.

Material Fee of $15 paid to instructor at class.
